We highlighted Heath Quinn in our Week 1 Roundup last week after he hit for the cycle as part of a 10 hit, 3 home run weekend.  All he did this weekend was blast 4 additional home runs during a double header on Saturday.  On the young season (8 games), Quinn has a slash line of .545/.579./1.333, with 13 R, 7 HR, and 18 RBI.  Is that good?

Tennessee third basemen Nick Senzel earned the Cape Cod League MVP after hitting .364/.418/.558.  Senzel’s future position is yet to be determined, but the bat less of a question, especially after producing a weekend line of 8-13, 4 doubles, 11 RBI, and 7 runs scored.

You won’t find Florida righthander Alex Faedo’s performance highlighted below.  That list is reserved for the 2016 draft class.  A sophomore, Faedo won’t be eligible until 2017 and if he continues to pitch the way he did on Sunday, he’ll hear his name called in the first round.  Facing rival Miami in the series rubber match, Feado struck out 12 Hurricanes over 6.1 IP without allowing a hit or a run.  Pulled after 93 pitches, the Gators were unable to finish the combined no-hitter but they did win the game (7-3) and the series.

Faedo’s teammate, Gator ace Logan Shore, also put together a masterful performance on Friday night.  Shore commanded all his pitches effortlessly in a complete game shutout where he produced a line of 9IP, 4H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 8K.
